Hi there!

I'm Amy, A user-focused UX Designer currently within the health-tech sector. Recently focused on designing remote patient monitoring systems that improve care delivery and patient engagement. Skilled in conducting stakeholder and user research in regulated environments, synthesising insights into actionable design strategies, and crafting intuitive, accessible interfaces for diverse user groups including patients, clinicians, and care coordinators. Passionate about creating digital health experiences that are not only user-centric and compliant, but also drive measurable outcomes in patient well-being and system efficiency.
My career so far...
My journey into UX/UI began while studying Web Design and Development at Napier University in Edinburgh. During that time, I worked as a software support representative at The Craneware Group, where I gained valuable exposure to real-world software environments. In my third year, I secured a year-long industry placement by proactively reaching out to Craneware’s Principal UX Designer (a pivotal move that introduced me to the world of user experience).
With a strong foundation in the product and domain, I quickly immersed myself in the UX team, contributing to everything from UI design and component creation to user research. I was soon trusted with my own project: modernising a 20-year-old legacy product and aligning it with Craneware’s Trisus cloud suite. At the end of my placement, I was offered a full-time UX role, and I made the decision to finish university after three years and continue my career in design.
I remained at Craneware for two more years, seeing Trisus Reference through to completion, before moving to the UX team at Current Health. There, I’ve continued to grow as a designer, working on complex, regulated healthcare products, learning from multidisciplinary teams, and staying driven by a passion for creating meaningful, user-centred experiences.
